If there is anything close to a constant in the sponsorship industry these days, it is the consistent interest in the medium on the part of property/casualty insurers.

Companies such as Allstate, GEICO and State Farm continue to turn to event and property partnerships to gain a point of differentiation and one-on-one consumer touchpoints, regularly adding to sponsorship portfolios on both the national, regional and local level.

For example, GEICO finalized a partnership with the NHL during the first week of ’10, a deal which builds on the company’s existing ties with 17 of the league’s 24 U.S. clubs and its sponsorship of the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic outdoor event on New Year’s Day.
